Guy brings over 20 years’ experience in arboriculture and ecology to the benefit of Enviroscope and our clients. Guy is experienced in tree survey and arboricultural assessment including BS 5837 survey, tree health and condition surveys and tree risk assessment.
Prior to establishing Enviroscope, Guy worked for a number of multi-disciplinary companies including WYG and RPS, providing advice on major infrastructure projects and planning-related developments.
Guy has also previously held planning authority Tree Officer posts, and is conversant in tree related planning issues. Guy also has overseas experience in the industry, having worked previously as a Forestry Consultant in Asia, and recently as an Arboricultural Consultant in Brazil, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and South Africa.
Guy is focused on providing clients with reliable and informed advice, and practical solutions to the constraints trees and ecology may pose to projects.
Claire Leather | Principal Ecologist

Claire is a fully qualified and practising Ecologist, with around 20 years’ experience across the industry. Claire has worked for multi-disciplinary consultancies, government agencies and Charitable Trusts including ADAS, Black & Veatch and British Waterways.
Claire is experienced in carrying out ecology survey and ecological impact assessments to inform major infrastructure, residential and commercial developments across the UK.
As a field ecologist, Claire is proficient in habitat and vegetation surveys, including Extended Phase 1 and hedgerow survey and assessment. She is experienced in protected species survey of water voles, otters, badgers, and holds licences for great crested newt, freshwater white-clawed crayfish and barn owl survey.
Prior to forming Enviroscope, Claire worked in China where she gained valuable knowledge of environmental assessment in a developing country context; gaining capability in Chinese language along the way.
