Bowcliffe Hall, Wetherby
Tree Health & Safety Inspections
Bowcliffe Hall is surrounded by beautiful grounds supporting a large number of significant and mature trees. Because Bowcliffe host weddings & corporate & private events within the grounds, managing tree risk is a high priority to them. Following our QTRA Tree Surveys we prepared a prioritised rolling programme of tree management works for the Estates Manager to implement, helping Bowcliffe to meet their duty of care.
Several mature trees at Bowcliffe were subject to decay detection investigation to identify the extent and nature of decay. This information informed the advice we gave for the tree's retention, management or removal.
South Cliff Gardens, Scarborough
Tree Survey and Ecology Assessment
To inform the HLF funded Conservation Management Plan for this Grade II Listed Registered Park & Gardens, Enviroscope carried out Tree & Ecology Surveys, including bat assessments of historic buildings. The terraced walkways offer spectacular views over the sea & town, with the dynamic nature of the cliffs providing habitat diversity - hard & soft maritime cliffs, springs & flushes, woodland, calcareous grassland & maritime vegetation.
The treescape is moderately species rich, & includes ornamental planting dating back to the garden's 19th century origins. Our report makes recommendations for improving the quality and condition of the treescape, restoring original planting & enhancing biodiversity.
Mount St John Estate, N Yorkshire
Assessing Tree Risk
Enviroscope carried out a QTRA tree risk assessment survey within the garden and parkland of Mount St John Estate, North Yorkshire.
Our recommendations for tree works balance the risk of harm with the cost of tree management works & the benefits the trees bring to the site.
Assessing Tree Safety
Enviroscope carried out tree health & safety surveys at 150 schools in Cambridgeshire for Cambs County Council. We created a tree management schedule for schools to implement.
The project has enabled schools to make their tree stock safe & plan budgets for tree works, rather than managing trees on an ad hoc basis.
